Search for 5" - 6" suspension lift kit

Copy of previous post:

I am in the market for a 5 - 6" suspension lift. I have spotted a few, but I have never purchased a lift kit before. I am not a heavy off-road user. I want to run 35's and my wheels with zero rub. A 2" leveling kit failed.

This one is the one I am leaning towards...

Rough Country Dodge Lift Kits
2003-2007 4wd Ram 2500/3500 / Mega Cab 5" Series II Suspension

Kit Contents:
Heavy duty, tubular, upper and lower control arms, lifted front coils, pitman arm, sway bar links, track bar relocation bracket, (4) RC Hydro 8000 series shocks, u-bolts, and option of 3" or 4" rear blocks.

Description:
The upper and lower arms are longer than stock to rotate the axle for proper alignment, as well as greasable for long term performance. The drop pitman arm maintains the factory steering angles and the track bar relocation bracket properly centers the axle under the vehicle.

Notes:
• Does NOT fit dually models.
• Must know if rear axle is 3.5" or 4" wide.

Benefits:
• 100% bolt-on installation.
• Increased ground clearance.
• Maintains factory steering angles.

Specs:
• Install Time: 4 - 6 hours
• Wheel Backspacing: Factory
• Recommended Tire Size: 37x12.50

Priced at: $770

35" tires would be too small for this amount of lift, I have a 3" lift and 35" Toyos and they looked very small on the truck but never rubbed, but the 37" I have now they rub at full lock only on stock rims.

I agree with sdntive...
Putting 5-6"s on 35s will look a little off. If your gonna go with that much lift. I would at least run 37s.
Don't get me wrong...it's your truck and everyone has diffrent opinions of what looks good. But I know I am running 35s with a 2" leveling kit and have never had rubbing problems.

I agree with the above as well. 35s on that much of a lift wouldn't look entirely right. I put a Carli 3" leveling kit with 35s on my dad's truck and they almost look a little small. No rubbing whatsoever but the backspacing of the wheels is 5.75" which is 1/4"-1/2" less than stock so they got pushed out a little. I don't think they'd rub even if the backspacing matched the factory wheels.

Go with Carli for the lift kit.

Wheel offset

Just got the 6" skyjacker lift kit for my 1993 Dodge Cummins Diesel 4x4 and skyjacker says I can run a 37x12.5 tire which is fine.

But I can't seem to find the style of rim I want with there recommended specs.

They say I need a wheel with a 4" backspacing. The smallest wheel I can get with a 37" tire is a 17x9 but that wheel comes with a zero offset which is a 4.5" backspacing.

Anyone have a solution?

Wheel spacers won't work on such a small offset/backspacing I need, correct?

Why not start your own post in the proper section instead of hijacking this persons thread?

To the OP, 3" for 35's and 6" for 37s is the norm.

I have a 3" carli pintop with 35s and it looks fine.

In all honesty, i wouldnt run that kit. At that price those shocks are going to be crap, these trucks need good shocks to have a decent ride.
