It would depend on your driving conditions more than anything , I would take a look at it while I was doing my oil change and go from their .

Depends on the environment you drive in.

Anywhere from 10K to 50K is the feedback I get.
The average is 25K. It will show dirt on the ends long before there is dirt all over the filter. Over cleaning can be as bad a having a clogged filter.
Also, you may want to clean just the outer red layer the first time. Feeback and personal experience has shown that the outer layer needs to be cleaned the first time and then the entire filter every other time.

Not a definitive answer but it does take awhile to get the filter dirty enough to warrant a full cleaning.

2003 and 04 trucks use the Scotty 3
04.5 to 06 trucks use the Scotty 5

when I cleaned my filters I oiled the outside of the outer layer only.

Scotty 5 is in my gallery...but they do not have the raised lettering anymore since I went to a heavier material...it does not show the definition I wanted.

The Scotty 4 got skipped simply because the 3 fits the 03/04 trucks.
I confused it just slightly instead of a whole bunch.
I think.
Maybe not.
I dunno.
What was the question?
