Scottie III intake egt temps??
I installed an Scootie III intake on my 2003 and my X-monitor seems like it is reading low. I recall running post turbo temps of 500-600 no load highway speeds and maybe 700+ towing. Now I run at under 400 degrees no load and towed last weekend without hitting 700. Now I am not complaining but did that Scootie really drop my indicated temps that much?? I just don't want to get into the long mountain passes this summer to find that I am really running at 1500...know what I mean??

That seems like a little too much of a drop...maybe there where other conditions...like a tailwind? Keep an eye on it for a while...a couple more thousand miles to get a better average.

The reports I get from folks with stock motors are 100-150 EGT reduction...on average.
However, add a fueling box and you quickly reach the limitations or efficiency range of the stock turbo. In this case some folks see 50f difference and some do not see anything. It all depends on what they are adding for fueling boxes and the combination. Even with added power and stretching the limits of the stock turbo, the Scotty 3 will take longer to see the egt rise and will cooldown faster then stock. Its definately a different scenario then the 2 gen Rams.
You are pretty much in the range though.
What level is the EZ at?

This seems reasonable if the probe for the pyro is mounted post turbo as you have a bigger difference in temps the harder you push it. If you are still concerned maybe something is wrong with the gauge and it should be checked. Our experience has been the Scotty with foam filters do very well for helping to lower EGTs especially with aftermarket exhaust and Turbo Air Guide installed.
