I've been trying to get my hands on that darn Scary Larry download I keep hearing about. The last I heard was Wicked Diesel but I don't have any contact info for them . If there is a shop close to Conroe I can drop my box off, if not I'll ship it. Thanks for any input

It's a setting in the downloader! John from Bully Dog was out at our shop last week and this same question was asked and the info was given. I'll post more when I get the back to the shop.....Stephanie

 

scary larry is a racing program not available from bullydog I know of only one person who has it for sale.

 

I got mine from Jamie at Extreme truck n Trailer, heck of a nice guy..

 

i called there and they said it was lost ina computer crash when did you get the program??

oh wow this has turned into such a mess.

The program was made by Bullydog for one truck....as a race program. The truck was an 05. Xtreme Truck and Trailer sold the program for a while...without Bullydog knowing. After Bullydog found out, they shut 'em down....thus they had a computer crash. I have no idea how Wicked Diesels has the program.

The program only truly works on 05's, since it was designed for one truck as a race program. I've personally put Scary Larry on an 04.5 and an 06....no difference from regular Crazy Larry. However, it drives lots different on my 05. Yes, TimInVA made 34 more hp with Scary Larry on an 06 but thats only because its an older version, so i've been told. The newer Crazy Larry programs aren't as hot apparently.

If you call Bullydog, they will tell you that Scary Larry is simply Crazy Larry with Torque Management deleted. On version 2.3.2, they even put some cool code unlock thing so you have to call them and get the code to have "scary larry." Its not really scary larry.

I've been heavily researching Scary Larry for a while now. I've talked with 2 Bullydog employees that were cool enough to admit the race program exists and tell me the story. Ironically enough, both of their stories matched perfectly. One of those Bullydog employees is in Texas, the other isn't. It's not coincidence that their stories match.

I've spent a lot of time on the phone with Nathan at Xtreme Truck and Trailer, nice guy like acook says about Xtreme.

Furthermore, Scary Larry doesn't like to play well with others. I've stacked it with lots of stuff and still can't seem to get 100% consistent results. It works well, but could be better like anything else.

I've comtemplating switching to Diablo's extreme tunes to stack with my Dr. Performance box, which i love so far. If anyone is interested in my Scary Larry, PM me.
