I'm confused on that deal with HTS,... If you ck with any box or dl builder the '04.5 & '05 use the same exact setup,... but Dusty says no on this Scary Larry DL. I don't get it. I know it's a massaged version of Bullydogs, but even they use the same on the '04.5 & '05. Do you think he is confused on this issue? That's kind of why I want to try yours when you come up to the dyno day.

 

He isn't confused. The 04.5 truck didn't work right.

It isn't the "no tq management version" that is very common around here. I have been around that and it doesn't compare to the HTS version.

I'll try to find out more on this issue so you can try my version at the dyno day!

 

What is funny is even I don't have Scary Larry! We ran into one about 2 months ago that somebody had just edited the software to change the name of Crazy Larry to Scary Larry which is not hard to do with some background in programming notice that Crazy and Scary have the same amount of letters in them which made it that much easier.

 

Scary is the name that one of the guys on this forum gave it. LMAO

There really wasn't a name for it when I bought it. After I got it, a few others did and someone came up with "scary larry" because it puts "crazy larry" to shame.

I know it's major different from Crazy Larry as the trucks running the same combo you are aren't within 100hp of what you dyno so that DL has got to be really something.

I still can't get it through my headbone though as everything I've read a 04.5 & 05 are the same. I'm gonna call the parts dept at my dealer tomorrow and see if they use the same part numbered ecm. I don't get it. The 04.5 was simply an early rollout of the 05. Confused.
