I currently have the Quad Tow Box and was wondering if I could upgrade to the Quad Standard or Race Box without worrying about upgrading the drive train or would both of those boxes have too much power for the stock drive train?

 

It has been said many times, so there could be some truth in it, that 100 hp is the most for the drive train. A lot of the trucks use the race box. Just don't go crazy with abusing the truck and you should be fine.

 

i used my race box for 20k miles before going for more power. the factory clutch held the race box just fine. it wasnt until i put bigger tires, upgraded turbo and was pulling heavy in 6th gear that i slipped it. you will be good to go.

You can probably just send it in to Quadzilla and have them upgrade it for a minimal charge....

 

does the race put out any smoke or is it just like the standard.just wondering if it does any low boost fueling.
