be kind, this is my first post and I'm.....kinda.....s...l..o..w!

I've been reading post for 2 months now and still have not found my answer so here we go. I want better mileage and hp/torque gains (no suprise here) but I don't have $ for tranny upgrades nor do I want to risk any damage. Narrowed it down to Edge EZ or QZilla mileage max. I have 04 5.7L w/21000 miles. I plan on having the truck for another 200,000 miles so should I steer clear or purchase and/or are there any better options. Would I need gauges with these? Any info is appreciated.

ps how do I tell if my truck is 04 or 04.5?

 

Youll be fine with either of those Need guages ????? I would strongly reccomend getting guages youd probably be fine but why take a chance. Quick easy install and cheapm minsurance.. BTW welcome to the DTR

 

well welcome to dtr. first off your motor is a 5.9 not 5.7(that's the displacement of a hemi)
the quad modules are very popular here.
any mod that increases fueling requires gauges.
2 ways to determine 04 or 04.5
under the truck, look for a catalytic convertor, or on the drivers side of the valve cover, white sticker, if it says 325,its an 04.5, if its 305, 04
