Rowed the gears!!

Well had a chance to hit the track this weekend. I only hit the strip a few times and did a 13.42 @ 108mph with a 2.2 60ft,and a .489 reaction time. Not bad for a 6-speed but there is tons of room to improve with such a high mph in the 1/4. Truck has got plenty more to deliver but the driver needs to get his act together!!!

Chris, you'll git there, hard as heck to git them 6 speeds down the track, but i would say, you could do low 13s and maybe even a hi 12, goodluck BUDDY

Thats what makes it so fun! Anyone can go out and smash the skinny pedal for 1/4 mile but it takes a man to row his way there.

Yeah, with your trap speed you would be an easy 12. You've got the Pawr, thats no doubt. Remember, video next time!

if you have a good clutch and lotts of quick feet, try staring in 3rd gear. my friend starts in 3rd leaving 3 gears to shift. He can run low 12s.... also when he pulls its either 3rd high gear or 4th low gear.... getr the rpm up the boost and then go fast

Bangin the gears does beat on the Tranny a lot. I might try 3rd gear next time but I just hate slippin the clutch that long.
Matego the video should be up on comp d shortly under NHRDA Division 5.
Sled pullin is def my sport for sure but the track is good fun. And beating up on mustangs is always fun!!!!!

Whoopin' up on stangs is good ol' American fun.

There have been guys running awesome times with 2nd gear launches. Like you said, its heck on the clutch running out in 3rd. I welded a ferramic clutch with est.400HP trying to do it. I really think running good out of the hole with our sticks depends on a snort of N2O. I know of 2 guys cutting 1.7's on 35's with a small shot to get the turbo lit.

I have a lot smaller turbo than you and mine does not light until 3rd gear. I want to try some juice here this summer and see where it gets me. Probably a bunch of broken stuff

Great number's man. How did you leave....With that 2.2 im guessing you just reved up and dumped.

Be careful banging gears with the g unit. I've heard since they shift so quick and carry boost into the next gear its easier to break then with a NV5600.

12's may not be worth it

Slo6 is right, there has been a bad rash of 4th gear blow-outs with the G-units lately.

Just ask Ramtd02, I think he's on his 3rd or 4th tranny. There are others, I just cant remember right now.

Yep I have shattered 3 G56's in the last 2 months trying too drag race....the last 2 have been 4th gear......1st one was an input shaft, other 2 were gears.
