i am going to be repainting my rims on my dually and no longer going to run the simulators. im going to sand blast them. should i paint them with say spray paint like krylon or dupli color and then clear coat them or have them powder coated. what will hold up better?

 

Powder coating is gonna be more durable.I'm considering doing the same thing.If the powder coating is to expensive I guess paint will have to do.

 

If you sandblast the wheel, follow up with a light coat of some good self etching primer, and coat with a good enamel(semi gloss looks good), the finish will be very durable.

 

PC is one of the most durable coatings available. Far superior to spray on paint. But, you have to remove the tires and stems first. And, it's more expensive. You get what you pay for.

 

it really isnt that bad i got a price of 200 for 4 rims and thats sand blasted coated and clear coated
