Richard at GDP is awesome

Just wanted to give the guy some recognition, I got my 392 a little less than a year ago and under 6k miles, and about 10 days ago I noticed my fp was unstable. So I posted on here about it, swapped the strainer and emailed gdp. I got an immediate response, Rich told me he could get me a new pump under warranty, no questions asked. I told him that I didn't know that I had a warranty and he said walbro doesn't cover the pumps because they are used in a custum setup, but he covers them for a year. He's a great guy to talk to and extremely helpful, definitely has a return customer here.

my dealings with him was easy to deal with. I had a simple problem and it turned out to be an isolater low on coolant not the pump. I called him and he called me back pretty quick

Ya mine finally went out at 150k, and the kit is really easy to install.

Makes you wonder! I've seen quite a few posts lately about the Walbro pumps failing. I have had mine for less than a year and it's starting to fail. PSI lower or fluctuating and making a horrible noise. It is taking longer to build psi. Sometimes won't go over 10psi until motor is running, then slowly creeps to 18psi.

I have been very happy with my GDP walbro pump and 2 micron kit. My FP stays at a steady 19.5 psi almost all the time. With a hard run, it might pull down to 17 or so.

Like some of the others mentioned.....my FP gauge was acting erratically and it turned out to just be low on antifreeze. My friends tried to get me to ditch the isolator, but I wanted to try it again with it. Been great the past several months.

I am not saying the Walbros never fail....but just make sure your gauge is not the issue before you go pulling the pump.

I put the new pump in, and my fp is still screwy, but I don't have an isolator because its a digital guage, I guess the next thing to do is get ahold of quad.
