rev limiter-can you go higher??

Look at my sig it tells the mods.

Recently I have been hitting 3250 Rpm through a whole run pulling a sled.
The rev limiter is kicking in and the motor just cracks and pops the whole pull. I tried high range once and that was stupid because I didnt have enough tourqe to have any wheel speed. I think if I could get the motor to jump another 600 to 800 RPM it would help me. My question is: Does someone have a box to take away rev limiter or up it? If not, can I safely do something to the motor to crank out some more RPM?

Doesn't a RAD eliminate the rev limiter?

To answer your first question: Not yet.
Next question:
Build every piece to run up higher...springs, cam, fuel, etc. and you will have a much better experience up top and less popping and cracking.
At least thats my experience.

Valves might be good for that but the valve springs arent.
Which charger are you running?

Dodgezilla is right on about my problems with the RAD. For some reason it will let me go past the top speed limit but it wont let me go past the rev limiter when I pull a sled in lo-lock. The RAD aslo will not let me get past the TQ management from the line. I always have to manually shift my truck when pulling or even drag racing. I still have it but not completely hooked up(unhooked toggle switch because I ran out of places for all my mystery switches ). I think I might try to go back and rehook everything ....it will only be the fourth time

Okay. I probably dont want to go that far. I was afraid that was an answer I would get though. 42,000 miles and it is running sweet. 18 miles to gallon on highway trips. 15.5 daily driving. Winning some cash at pulls - $780 this summer.... But we will see

I tried a Flashpaq for awhile and the rpm's went right up to about 3600, don't know if that will help you or not?

You have an automatic. Why not let it upshift?? A higher gear accomplishes the same thing as more rpm's...

You are right...but in my situation I have to manually shift my truck because of falling flat on my face at the line due to tourqe management in the 3rd gen computer.
Here is how I pull. Build 18 lbs boost-launch it, wind out rpm shift to 2nd, wind out - hit lock up switch and run to the end. So...for some reason when I have tried to go ahead to 3rd (with OD off) I lose wheel speed. Not enough power?

I even tried high range once(by accident) and made an idiot out of myself. A ford beat me

Too bad you dont have a manual you can come at around 60lbs like me.

Seriously have tried a Smarty yet?
It gets rid of Tq management.

Dan, With SMARTY and my overfueling I'm able to blow by 3500 to about 3700 in all gears and I'm an SO. ks. Note that there is no torque management so parts will definitely be challenged.....I use my RAD for top speed elimination only. ks

I see in your sig some slight engine work. Do you feel the valve springs and cam help get you to 3700 RPM?
