removing a Quad xzt
removing a Quad xzt
i'm new to all this.... i bought a 07 5.9 with a Quad xzt on it, i want to remove it and maybe run stock or go with a smarty later, Quad has apparently closed thier doors. i hate to attempt to pull this off the truck without knowing what i am doing for fear of messing up something else...the green box is under the dash and wire loom running into the engine area, i can find one plug but havent traced the rest of the wires yet....kinda hate to just start unplugging stuff...
any advise on this would sure be appreciated....

Yea, nice one Quad. They were supposed to send me an upgraded pulse monitor since I have had trouble with mine....
Anyway, usually the wiring that goes under your hood is just connected between the factory engine harness and engine sensor to intercept the ecm and modify the signals. If you unplug your one of your quad harness plugs connected to the factory harness, there should be another one hooked to the engine sensor. Usually the boost sensor located behing the intake elbow on the drivers side of the engine is always used. Just unplug the quad from the factory harness and sensor, then put the factory harness back onto the sensor.
Do the same with any other sensors such as the cp3 etc.
