removing banks 6 gun and PDA

A buddy of mine has an '04 3500 6 speed, and wants to remove his six gun and power pda to install the diablosport predator/puck stack and quadzilla commander.I have installed several edge boxes and quadzilla commanders, but this banks mess is overwhelming, any and all help on removing this mess is greatly appreciated.

many thanks again

Although if I were to find a buyer for it, I'd remove it tomorrow.

Just a lot of crapola going in a lot of directions. It has, by far from what I have seen of other modules, more wires connections and etc.

I would take your time and trace stuff down to see where it goes. then remove it. I dont understand why ppl buy them to start with. must have way too much money I guess.

Every plug that runs to the motor from the banks has the stock plug beside it or close by. Unplug and plug(the crankshaft sensor plug, etc will be a hard pull). Pull the tap from the fuse box and return the fuse, then pull your dash. there should be a plug in the diagnostic port, and some wiring for the pda. Trace it, unplug the pda remove the wiring and run it out. As for your thermocoupler, I assume with your new stack that you will have gauges. I reused my thermocoupler with no problems. That should do it, and congrats on the removal.

That's for the auto tranny, of course.

I unfortantly have seen both version I had the old one that didnt work with the pda The old setup had to be tapped into something to do with tcc but when Me and a buddy put the new version nothing tapped there I assumed it worked off the diagnostic port because I have received a few trouble codes for trans slip I dont really know though banks might have changed it

The problem we fought was with the stupid transmission learning thing. You go out and follow instructions and we still get the thing flashing Banks trouble codes on the LEDs. Me and 3 engineers could not ever make it work??? It was just one non stop de-fueling ride! I cannot even comment on how good or bad it was because we never got it setup right!

I know other people that said they got it to work and then others that never could get it right like me??? Maybe it was my truck?

We talked to support for a long time and they were nice and helpful. The problem was that they talked to us as we did it and they said we were doing it right????

I might get froggy and try it again some day!
