Don't forget that you can cut the overloads down so that you don't lose your unladen ride height. You can basically turn them in to spring blanks, or shorten them so that they make contact with the main pack later.

I recently added 3 leaves per side from a 2500 short bed, cut down to about 8.5 inches shorter than the spring above it. I placed them between the main packs & the overload, which was cut down to maybe 10 inches. I am happy with how my truck now rides - but my truck weighs 9500 lbs empty and I regularly tow 12k lbs with a bumper pull trailer.

On my 04 2wd dually I removed the overload springs and lift block the ride was much better and it lowered rear about 2". On my 06 4x I removed the blocks to level it out a little. I don't tow heavy just a boat or tractor but have had no issues. In the 3rd gen pics thread thats my inferno red truck hooked to airboat CReed posted.

No issues at all an both trucks are modded, ran hard, an run at track. Just removing the blocks didn't change ride much on 4x but spring an blocks on 2x dually made for a much better ride.
