Real time data

Drove into work this afternoon with the Diablo as a diagnostic tool just messing around.
Picked out the HPCRpressure mode and watched as I drove.
In park at idle, I was seeing 46.00Mpa-48.00Mpa which I believe is 4600-4800psi.
In gear at idle, pressure was bouncing around between 5300-5700psi.

I wasn't able to go full throttle at all, nor build more than 10lbs of boost due to traffic conditions.
I did see the highest pressure in the 14,000psi range but most cruising speeds of 35-45mph and it was reading between 9500-12000psi.
I'm going to keep a log to see what highest pressures I see, what average cruise pressures at certain mph's, etc..
Then, when I re-install Quads XZT (after they change the tune), I'm going to see if it'll read any changes.
There is alot of cool stuff to monitor with this programmer.

Pressure correction Calculation

you are a little off on the pressure there. here is the calculation.

1 PSI= 6.895 KPA =.006895 MPA
10 PSI= 68.95 KPA = .06895 MPA
100 PSI= 689.50 KPA =.6895 MPA
1000 PSI= 6895.0 KPA =6.895 MPA
10000 PSI= 68950.0 KPA =68.95 MPA
and so on.

1000 KPA = 1 MPA

46.0 MPA = 46000 KPA = 6671.50 PSI

My job is dealing with pressure so i just thought i would point that out for you.

Also, i think that the 14,000 PSI is a little high. The injector line is only rated for 10,000 PSI if i remember correctly.

The rail pressure can run up to 24-26k psi during WTO.

My math is a little rusty. Could you give me a formula to convert Mpa to psi.

Also, I read many times, that pressures do exceed 23,000psi at the injector.

What I was reading was in Mpa. And the numbers were 46.55 - 142.99, etc...

I now know that Mpa is not times 100 for psi calculations.

Looks like pressures at 142.xx Mpa are over 20,000psi

ok, my mistake. i thought the pressure only got upto around 10k. thats goo to know. and ya 20k is about 137,900 KPA or 137.9 MPA

yep, thanks for the info, i learn something new every day.

well, to get it from Mpa to Psi, here is the formula.

142.99 mpa x 1000 = 142,990 Kpa

then you take 142,990 kpa and Divide it by 6.895= 20,738.22 PSI
