I guess brickenbone might be sad cause he cant beat one? A guy I work with has one and looses every time he pulls up and tries. Im am usually only on level 4 when he tries to race but can barely pull a win on level 3.

my truck has the mods in my sig, his truck has the mods listed in the post.
Also, I am happy to race a gnat at the intersection of 2 country roads, I am easy to please.

I wouldn't say 'King'
But the moment you disrespect a modded Duramax, even a mildly modified one, they'll slaughter ya.
For the $$$$ spent, they can be BOMBed cheaper that the CTD and make more power. That is a fact.
Case in point, my 550 was with a stock cam, no lift pump, stock turbo (Juicegrips(TM) equipped) stock injectors, 4" Exhaust, AFE Filter, and a transgo in the VB.
Try to reach 550 with keeping those items stock in a CTD and you begin to see why they reach the power levels they do with minimal investment.
1. Bigger Displacement.
2. Better Electronics Package from the factory
3. Larger turbo than the CTD for their factory HP rating
4. Same redline, but faster revving.
5. Better Flowing heads.
6. Smaller bore, Faster Diesel Burn.
7. Broader spread of torque than the CTD over it's engine RPM range.
It's a tough act to follow. Durability will hold the DMX back at 700 RWHP for engine internals (keyway cam needed, better pistons, better rods) but once those are up and running, look out.
I loved my DMX, but the CTD is starting to grow on me with it's own virtues. As soon as Southbend released the new DD Clutch and I get a set of Nathan's Twins on here, and a MITUSA, I will be set. I like to see how far the stock sticks will go, then a Dual Fueller. Once the limits of flow of the stock injectors are reached, I will be calling that fella in Texas to see what he has to offer.

I disagree, a duramax can be bombed,, but it is more expensive, for the same reasons that it is cheaper to do a small block chevy than a small block ford. Sheer numbers, there is more CTD's in a couple states then there is duramaxs in north america. They have been building the ctd for allmost 20 more years than the duramax,,, stock to stock, the duramax will destroy our trucks,, but for the same dollar, a ctd will beat,, and fairly handily, a duramax

Kevin, dollar for dollar the DMX will mop the floor with a Cummins.
I know because I hang out mainly WITH dodges at competitions.
2 Boxes, 1700.00.
Exhaust, 1000.00
Intake, 400.00
Juicegrips(TM) 5.00
Grand Total :3105.00
Results : 550RWHP/1190RWTQ
Or better still
EFI Live for Duramax 800.00
Exhaust 1000.00
Intake 400.00
Juicegrips(TM) 5.00
Grand Total: 2205.00
Results : 515RWHP/1000 RWTQ
Of course i am EXCLUDING transmission work, because at 500 RWHP even the Dodges need help.

The dmax is easy to get h.p. out of to a certain extent, then it will get costly once you start swaping hard parts(turbo,cp3,rods...)
But dollar for dollar the dmax will win the race.
I have some pics of our Dmax in my pics.
