I've tried searching with no luck. I may be putting my truck on the dyno tomorrow if the shop allowes me to and I was wondering what gear ya'll reccomend I should run in? I've got an 05 with a NV5600 6-speed and 4.10's. I'll also be running the Bully Dog PMT on crazy larry.

generaly trucks get run in direct , 5th gear in your case. this cuts down on hp loss by not having to turn more gears etc in the trans etc.. .

if you had a large turbo , then it is some times run in 6th to load it harder in an effort to build more boost..

 

What type of dyno are you running on? A dyno-jet then you would run in 6th, a load dyno then 5th.

Thanks for the help. I went there this morning and he told me he didn't want to put all that weight on his dyno. So I might try another Dyno on Friday. I guess depening on what kind of dyno i'll be running either 5th or 6th.

how much weight can there possibly be on the rear roller's.the bed of the truck an so on.

 

I've got the back of my truck fully loaded with tools. The truck weights alittle over 8500 lbs.
