Questions before purchasing Smarty
Alright I've decided to go for the smarty and not look back, but a few questions I have are if I were to go with the TNT with a few more mods (Fuel system turbo descent size sticks) that will be soon on the way, can I tow on the lowest setting? is that safe or should I just stick with the REVO. The most I would be towing is around 5,500 lbs. Would be EGT's go through the roof? I just wanna be able to play with the TNT but tow on the weekends to the races. Thanks for the input, once I decide this I'm gonna get one on the way.
its hard to say, going with the bigger sticks will cause higher EGTs but since you said you would go with a bigger turbo you might be alright... it just depends on what size sticks/turbo you run on how well it will do
For sticks i'm thinkin somewhere in the ddp 50 or 90 hp ranges and as for the turbo im still unsure i want something that will keep things cool spool relatively quick and get respectable power, im not tying to crunch out dyno numbers or anything just a reliable fair running daily driver
Then s300's in the 62mm inducer range will be just fine, or Garrett stage 3 gt3788 for faster spool/same air if you go th 50-75hp stick route. With 90's, you have a lot of power potential that puts you into running small twins (stock over s400, or BD tow twins work well here), 64 or 66mm inducer s300 turbos or garrett gt4094r.
