Questions about Settings on Revo

I wanna run moderate tourque, injection timing on level #2 stock, and rail pressure on moderate also, should I be okay? Stock clutch, lift pump not installed yet either. I was running Mild TM Level 5 (90 Horse) on the 4.11 program before. Any suggestions on what I should run?

Anyone getting lots of timing rattle from setting #2? What about #4 fuel economy setting?

Also my biggest concern is the rail pressure setting, should I just keep it mild maybe?

You don't have aftermarket injectors so timing #2 is fine. TM level affects auto trannys... not so much manuals so no worries there. With stock clutch, I wouldn't go over sw5. I would run mild pressure until you show up at the track or dyno then turn it up for that.

Thanks soulezoo, no one would answer me on the other threads, You don't think the extra tourque put out from the moderate TM over the Mild TM will have too much affect on my clutch?

NOPE! Like I said, TM has more to do with autos than manuals... the point behind it is the slight moment of defueling when the auto shifts gears... you do that with your right foot on a manual.

I have been playing with the settings for a couple of days. I'm running Catcher 8, Rail 2,Torque 3, Timing 3. The TM will snap your head back on 4, its kind of scary . Not bad on the smoke, and my rail gauge does not go above 21k. I like it allot more than the old Flashpaq

I have a 6-speed and TM greatly increases the sensitivity of the throttle, so be careful with your stock clutch.

Anyone else get timing rattle out of stock injection setting number 2? I lowered mine down to injection timing #1 and that got rid of it, but with my smarty on sw5 mod torque, rail pres. on mild it felt way weaker than the old 4.11 program on sw5 mild torque....

Can I use injection timing setting #4 for better fuel mileage without aftermarket injectors or is it just setting #3 that you need aftermarket injectors?

I would think timing 4 will rattle more than 2 since it has more advance. What you should try is 3, which is less than 2 but possibly more than stock.

TM makes a HUGE difference with a manual... wild TM is way too much... moderate is borderline, and I catch myself throwing gravel if I'm not careful. I'm definately going to put it on stock or mild TM when I take the truck to the cabin

I know it really makes a difference on the manual on how responsive it is, but will it slip my clutch or is 90 horse on mild equal to the torque 90 horse makes on the moderate? obviously not right?

the big difference is going to be on gear changes... if you're driving quickly/agressively you'll be more prone to slip on gear changes

ya well i know what u mean by gear changes, basically the little time period after a gear change as the turbo is spooling and your lugging it a little too much...Ah well it should be fine, just have to be cautious

Yes, just don't stab the throttle when letting off the clutch. Ease into the throttle.

I prefer mild since it's easier to transition the throttle inputs.
