Question Need Help!!!!

Hello i have a probelm that i am not sure about. I have been getting bad fuel mileage for the past few days. I also checked and saw that the fuel pressure was fluctuating. I checked my oil level and it was way over full. Only drove the truck for about 20-25 miles before i realized i had a problem (bad problem). Realy don't think i did any damage to the engine. OIl pressuer never went below 40 psi.Took the truck to dealer and they told me i had a cracked fuel injector and they needed to replace all of them. I asked why all and they told me they could not tell which one was the bad one. Does this sound like it would be an injector and why would they not be able to just relpace the bad one? Only good part is it would be under warranty they tell me, we will see.

Probably a money deal. The parts are probably cheaper than the labor + parts + confusion if someone at the shop can't do it. Must be a good dealer if they aren't worried about all the mods. If they are working with you I would try to get your tips switched. When I got a set warrantied I had a guy mod my tips and balance the boddies and he said before he modded them one injector flowed 2cc's at idle and another flowed 10cc's at idle. I would never put remans in without having them flowed.

It defintely sounds like a sticking or Cracked injector.

I was going to say the same thing about the Dealer. They are still going to warranty your truck with all of your mods? What about your tips. If they change your injectors you will lose your tips I would bet. If you pull them yourself, you can send them out to be tested. That is the route I would take. Send them to Don or II and get them tested. If all are good but one, then you only have 1 to replace.

I was would not loose my tips because i took them off be for i took them off befor i took the truck to the dealer. I wanted to know about the flow testing that you keep talking about here. What it is and what it would cost to do. They also are going to put in rebuilt injectors. What do you think about that. Thank you
