Question about smarty

Sorry if this has been beaten to death already, Im new to all this. Im not looking to chip my truck at all but I need high idle and it's a 6speed. A buddy from work has a smarty programmer that belongs to his friend. So my question is, do all smartys have the 3 cyl high idle feature? If so can someone explain how I can get it and then uninstall the programmer.

What year is your truck? I thought the later CR's, you could hit the cruise/set at idle for the high idle?

Go to the user cp and fill out your sig.

If you'll get your buddy to load any of the Smarty SW's onto your truck and then return the truck to stock, you should be good to go on the program end as I understand it. Next, you'll need to get a clutch switch and ECM pin and pigtail to install into the computer. If you'll go to the "articles" tab at the top of the page and click on it, you'll be taken into the wiki. Once you get there look for the high idle article and at the top of it there is a link to the thread. Follow that link and read the thread. There are also links to other threads about the same topic. If you'll follow them all you will get the part numbers for the clutch switch and the pigtail. By the time you get done reading, you'll understand what to do.

Freightliner used to put a "slot" in the top of the throttle pedal, then a threaded hook attatched to the firewall, with a wing nut. You would pull the hook down through the slot, and then turn the wing nut in, until the desired rpm. I would come out from breakfast and the motor would be screaming, crude, but it did work....
