Question about leveling kit???

Well it's finally getting time to change out them tiny looking stock tires on my truck. I have decided to go with some 285/70/17 tires. I plan on a leveling kit as well for the front end. My question is what all do you need to properly lift the front end? I have read many posts on here and some say do this or do that. My plan is a 2 inch leveling kit, new shocks front and rear, and an alignment. Is there anything else that needs to be addressed? Is there anything I need to keep an eye on after install? Thanks in advance.

285s look small w/ leveling kit, I did that and changed quickly. AT LEAST go w/ a 285/75(only made by Toyo) or bigger. Go w/ Bilstein 5100s, you won't regret!

Agreed 285/70's look small under a stock height truck, and super tiny under a leveled truck. Ill post a pic of mine like that when I get home.

I was thinking of doing a Lorenz leveling kit and 35" pro comp extreme ATs. I think the 285 70 17 BFGs would look ok on a leveled truck. but the 35s would fill in the wheel wells more and not to mention lowered rpms at freeway speed.

I would like to run bigger tires. It seems that mileage really takes a hit when you start going bigger than 285s. Also, pulling my gooseneck may become an issue with anything bigger.

Here's mine with the top dog customz 2" leveling, Bilstein 5100's and 285/70/17 BFG AT KO's. I like it a lot but still saving the $$ to go to some cooper SST or Toyo 35's.

Sorry, the shock pic's were with a cell phone camera.
