I just had a leer 100 xq installed on my 2500 short bed. Is it normal for the canopy to be lower than the back of the cab? Seems to be about 1 inch lower where the cab and the canopy meet. I showed it to the dealer and they say it is normal but they would be willing to put some spacers in to raise it up, which will make a space between the bed and the canopy. Paid 1700 and some change and want it to look wright. Thanks for you opinions!

 

Normal.. as my wife said.. every cover out there for the Dodge makes it look like it's bent in the middle. Believe it or not, this is why when it came time to replace the previous truck (RAM 1500), she wanted either a Ford or Chevy. Then we decided to get a 5th wheel, so the topper was not happening.. so we bought another Dodge.

 

Im goin with the 100XL on my truck, and at the dealer the women told me that the contors of the XL fit alot better than the XQ on the Dodges! She really spent alot of time showin me the diffs between the caps, took me out to the parking lot and showed me the features of the cap (XL) on her husbands truck and really filled me in! She gave me a price with install,taxes and the features that i wanted and it came out to $1751 all said and done.
