I have the JR and run the SW3 wich unless I am wrong is the same or similar to the SW5 on the SR. I also stack with a quad X2 and still have a stock tranny. I know its only a matter of time but it still works great for now.

it's all in how you drive it. if you drive conservativly then you will be fine, but if you drive like a wild man then i wouldn't run 5 until your ready to beef up the tranny. do you have a manual or auto? the manuals will hold a little more than the autos. also what software are you running, ie 4.11, standard revo, revo tnt? when i was on my stock clutch i ran 4.11 sw9 all the time but i would ease into the throttle and not do burnouts.

I agree with Smoke19D, in that it's all in how you drive it.

I ran SW 9 on mine for 35,000 miles, even towing.....with the stock trans. And it was fine when I had it built. The torque converter had been overheated some and showed discoloration but it worked fine.

If you beat on it, it will break.........even stock. If you drive it sensibly it can last a long long time. Use that right foot as your SW controller..

I have run sw #7 (# 9 sometimes) since I bought my smarty. Almost 30,000 miles with the smarty and 106,000 on the stock clutch. I don't jerk it around or do burnouts.

My truck is an auto, and I just took a chance and loaded SW#5 tonight and seems to have better drivability than the SW#3. The throttle response is much better for city driving.
I am running the 4.11 with stock TQ and SW#5. I figure I will go back to SW#3 when the snow flies.
I am planning on DTT converter, valve body, and smart controller early next year. Keep the comments coming.

Been running level 5 and higher off and on for almost 2 years. No issues but I have a 6spd.

Stock trans, 05+ truck, and Smarty SW 5 will equal a trans rebuild. Only a matter of when, not if. Been there, done that, got pictures and billet parts.
