Well I have tried other controllers like Edge and Bully Dog now I have found myself back to the 65hp Quadzilla 2. I figured I could set it as Max mileage and try that out too. Plus the smoke setting looks cool. So I ofcourse open it up like a kid on Christmas morning and plug it into my computer and search driver so my computer see it. Then I read directions... Does not work with Vista! Damm then I read dont plug in downloader... I Dont think I did any damage to unit since my computer was just looking for driver to see controller and I can always delete driver later on it so that quadzilla driver works. Any idea when vista drivers come out?

 

Well I am not sure what USB/Serial driver the Quad products is designed to use, but Vista Home Premium did have the latest USB/Serial drivers that the Smarty needs and probably will probably work with the Bully Dog updates as well. If you plugged in the unit with USB and Vista did not find a driver that it thinks is the right one then you will probably have to wait on Vista SP1 release. The Vista SP1 has been more than a mystery of what/when/how for a while now.

Here is a link that will explain some of the questions on Vista SP1 update. Should be availabe between middle of March to middle of April, but there is no gaurantee where MS is concerned.

Oh no mine found found it and loaded a driver. So I can changed it to a max mileage if it found it?

 

Well that is a question for the Quad guys. Where does it say not to use Vista? Maybe the Quad software that loads the updates is not Vista compatible, like I said ask the manufacturer before you try it.
