yes i like it very much. even more than my 2 previous quad modules. it runs smoother, more adjustment, both with more levels of power settings and usb updateable programs

I only have about 25 miles on mine so far...I am really surprised how smooth and CLEAN the power is...I cant hardly get it to smoke. guess I will download the smoke file and try that....but thats the whole beauty of it...I was kinda bummed cause Smarty smokes like a old coal train...witch is fine but when I haul my two dogs in the back I feel bad so I have to turn it down witch takes time...I love that I can just reach forward and change power levels with the X2 great product and I LOVE that it takes no wire taping Plug & Play!!!! I did not even read the instructions you can tell what goes where just by looking at the plugs.
10-15 minute install tops

What is this plug and play thing I keep hearing of?

I assume the commander plugs into the box? If this is true, could you use it the old way (tap into wires), so if I goto the dealer I could remove the box, and keep the commander in as just gauges?

Thanks.

Yes, you can still use it that way on a stock truck.

The new wiring harnesses just have built in "taps" for the Commander so there is no real wire taps needed.

I'm running both the Commander and the Control Pod right now so I can make use of all the power levels available on the X2. Once the new harness comes in and the Commander is updated I plan on removing the Control Pod. As is it works great, just don't have the defueling capability.

I'm running both the Commander with mine. That has nothing to do with it but it seems to runs smoother, like my truck shifts better, not better but smoother.

So, are these now shipping when ordered? Or are the new orders still waiting for the harnesses?

You need to upgrade to a whole new box. But the cost is very reasonable.

I'm just running the Commander with mine. I don't like having the extra control pod. I have one less setting with it, but I have the warm up protection and the defueling without the pod on. I still get the three top settings so that's all that matters to me. Besides, my smoke switch wouldn't work with the pod connected so I took the pod out. I'm running the standard factory files on mine so I still need the smoke switch just in case I get the hankering to smoke. When I run the smoke files, it smokes a little on all levels so I didn't want that file, I'll just keep my switch. Funny thing though, when I had the control pod hooked up and flipped my smoke switch on, it sounded like my truck was gonna blow up. Took the control pod off and it worked fine.
