Quadzilla ?'s

Hey Quad I had a few quick ?'s that I thought a few others might like to know the answer to thats why I didnt just PM:

1: How many parameters is the commander able to control? I think I read 7?

2: Can I add a different gauge(like a diff. temp or drive preassure etc...) in place of something that perhaps I already have monitored? Or lets say if I order a recon just to do inj. preassure then I wouldnt need it on the commander.

3: Do you have any future plans to be able to adjust timing like the tst does?

4: When can we expect the TST controls to be ready?

5: What about the turbo timer?

6: Do you have any future plans to include a color screen or would that be too pricey?

I am gonna get rid of the edge and pillar mount and just dont want to have to buy all the gauges and then end up with a bunch of stuff I dont want. Thanks for your help quad we all know you got nothin but time.

Then I have to admit that the intercooler is. For lack of a better deal, thats what I bought and no problems yet but it really was the cheapest when you consider what you get with it. I think there must be something really cheap in there somewhere. I was so ashamed that I put the banks sticker on the youngins little batterypowered dodge. Made him happy. He'll probly get older and tell his friends how I "put a dress" on his first Dodge.

7 parameters. 8 if you count power level like other manufacturers do. We do not have the RPM supported just yet though.

2: Can I add a different gauge(like a diff. temp or drive preassure etc...) in place of something that perhaps I already have monitored? Or lets say if I order a recon just to do inj. preassure then I wouldnt need it on the commander.

Well sort of yes and sort of no. For example you can place our trans temp senor anywhere you want and it will read temperature. You can stick the Fuel Pressure sending unit anywhere you want and it will read from 0-40psi accurately. You could put the egt thermocouple any where you want and it will read that temp as well. The boost and Coolant and Rail and RPM are all dedicated to a particular type of sensor. Now the values can be scaled based on what model and year truck you select but, they are not adjustable. You would need to find a sensor that spit out the same data.

3: Do you have any future plans to be able to adjust timing like the tst does?

Yes and NO. For sure we have stuff in the works for adjusting timing. I doubt I do it like TST does it. We should be able to do better than that. I can tell you that the Current Commander as is will not do it. You may not need a Commander at all??

4: When can we expect the TST controls to be ready?

Well, to start with when the stop changing controls. If we release it we want 1 part# that works with their boxes. We do not want to support a bunch of different software for different versions of the TST. IF and when they slow down we will finish what we have.

5: What about the turbo timer?

In the works as we speak with a pile of other stuff. I give up on dates. If we are not waiting on a specific part, we are waiting on a board or another part. Trust me, I want stuff to get out ASAP but, it will not go out until it is right and has the functions it needs to. We don't want to spit junk out.

6: Do you have any future plans to include a color screen or would that be too pricey?

Color Screen, doubtful. We have some ideas that involve color though but, not on this Commander.

I am gonna get rid of the edge and pillar mount and just dont want to have to buy all the gauges and then end up with a bunch of stuff I dont want. Thanks for your help quad we all know you got nothin but time.

Well, only you know exactly what you want. Unfortunately we have grown to the point to where I cannot do near as much custom stuff as we are capable of. I will tell you that we have a lot of stuff coming that is cool. SOme sooner, some later. As we release new things the list of features will climb drastically.

Hope that helps.

Quad

Thanks as always for answering all my questions but its so hard for everybody to "have their cake and eat it too".

Ya know a guy sees what setup he wants to run and what he wants to be able to monitor all at the same time without having to install gauges everywhere and be able to record them so you dont have to watch 10 gauges all at once. I know its hard to do from your end cause the more ya give people the more they want and I love your products im just tryin to figure out how to make it work out the best.

Again though the rail gauge you sell is great and the price is right but im tryin to decide if the commander is going to be in my future before I make that purchase.

Again though thanks for your time quad i'll keep watchin the updates.
