If you are purchasing it just for pressure I wouldn't waste the money. About anything else is a better option IMO.

i've been really disapointed with the quality of my quad stuff, as soon as i can afford it ill be getting rid of the commander and pressure box and buying something else.wish i wouldn't have wasted my money on it.

No need for the 140hp box. I run the pressure only tune and love it. Never had any issues with Quad products and I have had two different ones. I have had my current box over 2 years and no issues. Love the RP gauge it comes with.

Same here, almost 200,000 miles with 4 different Quad boxes, no injector issues. OP, get the X2 100hp, you dont need the race 140hp for stacking.

That is a ridiculous thing to say. Pressure is pressure and we are the ONLY ones that give you a gauge with the product. Everyone else gives you a pressure box to run blindly with.

Even stock injectors have problems, the injector problems you had are not related to a box or adding pressure. Anyone that has one of our boxes with the built in gauge can tell you that under normal driving conditions we run less pressure than anyone else.

He is totally correct. I can go from level 0 to level 4 and at a steady speed the rail pressure will not change. What does change is how quickly it ramps up. The others go up a set amount at each setting. Even at a steady speed. I have been running pressure for over 40,000 miles with no issues. Only in the last 10,000 have I had the Airdog 100.

Only had the X2 a few moths and have no complaints at all.
From what I've seen so far the X2 seems to be a safe pressure box.

Whan't the forum gonna be up and working Quad?

I have been running the original Quad Std and now the X2 for a few years. I never had any issues. My rail pressure has always been in check. My opinion is bad fuel or filtration is causing injector issues, not boxes or downloaders.

Those that lost injectors, how do you know the Quad box was at fault ? Has anyone lost an injector with an Edge, Smarty, Bullydog, or whatever else - hey let's even throw in stock trucks ? Bet you can't say no.

was running the quad std box, factory injectors went first, then industrial diesel injectors went at less the 20k in 4 months. took the box off and put in factory sticks. ran the truck over 6 months, put the box back on and within 2 weeks the injectors did the same thing. i change the filter every 10k, when my injectors went the second i went as far as to contact the bousch rep in the u.s and told him of my problem and he informed me of the poor quality filtering system of the dodge, informed me thats why gm changed their filtering sydtem in 04 or 05. i posted this on here awhile back before anyone knew. the only factor that changed on the truck was using the quad box so now tell me why i wouldnt think its the quad product. we put one on my 98.5 truck it would never work even went to quads place over on the west side of fort worth and they couldnt make it work either so i am not impressed with that product and their fore that is why i say what i say. dont kn ow abotu the newer stuff but will never buy it. Buy the way ran bullydog on my 07 for 68k and never lost an injector. the truck had a highg egt issue running stock, not with the bd. the turbo went at 65 k and took the number 6 cylinder out due to metal in it and the motor cratered at 68k

I have the 140 hp box and it gives really good power - - At the expense of HIGH EGT's. No stacking, only quad race. Got a smarty, and sent the quad box back in for pressure only. I have a commander gauge so that is all I have to go by. I may be wrong but I think it only reads up to a certain level. The reason I say this is the highest rp is always 25808. Not 25810 or 25809 etc. This is just speculation on my part, quad would know the answer. I am not totally unsatisfied with Quad stuff, and they seem eager to help. I need to get the FP gauge working again on my Commander, as I do like it. I guess my point is, after getting my Q Race Box Pressure only, I could tell no difference. I am going to send it back and get it put back original, then If I am running stock, I can punch 140 in on the fly, since I don't want to fool with the POD of the Smarty offering. Hope it works out good for you.

I just installed my quad last night. The install was easy and the only problem that I have had is that a check engine light came on almost immediately. Is this normal? Also when you are connecting the clip type connectors under the hood what is the spare single stranded wire with a slip on thing on the end. I didnt know what it was and of course it didnt say anything in the book about it and I cant see anywhere where they would clip up. Another thing that I am not happy with is the lack of smoke. I downloaded the smoke program last night and I think they need to rename it. Yes it will blow out a little puff of smoke but when I read that I figured that it would be a stream of smoke so that if I wanted to I could smoke our a ricer or stroker with no problem. But once I get a smarty I guess I wont have to worry about it.
