I made sure I had it programmed for the correct year. @ idle the tranny temp will go from 115 to 125 in less than 2 sec. & the EGT will go from 385 to 425 in less than 2 sec.. Then when I parked this morning tranny temp. went from 125 to 100 in less than a sec. & EGT's went from 365 to 1350 in less than a sec. for 3 sec. then down to 350 in less than 1 sec.. What do ya'll think the deal is?

 

Mine did the same thing once with the water temp. I found a bad connection under the hood at the sending unit. No problems since then.

 

Check your grounds.

 

I thought about that but I doubt they both would go bad @ the exact same time. I'm gonna check the ground(s) when I get a chance.

 

Ground is dropping out somewhere. I would start there.

Ground is good, hot is good. Any other ideas? It has done this about 3 or 4 times over the last few months.
