Quadzilla Commander!
I ordered a Quadzilla Commander on the 9th and have been patiently waiting to get it.....Not really, I have been practically stalking our UPS man. Anyway, today I called the place that I ordered it to find out what was taking so long and they said that it would be shipped from Quadzilla. They called to check on it for me and then came back on the line to tell me that Quad said it would be at least another week and a half before they would send it out. They said something about a new cable they were putting on the Commanders. Hopefully Jeremy is reading this and can tell me what the new cable thing is about. Are they making it ready for the new Xzillaraider boxes or what? I'm not complaining, I'm just curious about it. I know they have a good product that is why I ordered it. Anyway, here I am chomping at the bit waiting on my newest toy to arrive! Maybe it will be some kind of new updated model... I CAN'T STAND THE SUSPENSE! Oh, the pillar mount and the fuel pressure kit already came and it's sitting beside me here waiting too.
I have the Quad standard module and I think it's great, but I can't wait until they do that trade in program so I can get the new box that you can download files to. I have that pillar mount, but I never looked at it until now. I see that velcro in the box. That's not what I had in mind...I figured it would mount back inside.
It makes it easy to get out if you want to update it for a variety of reasons.
Also it is not really velcro. It is actually better than some stuff than your truck is held together with!
Also, you don't even have to use it, the Commander will sort of squeeze the Commander and hold it in place. That is how all of mine are since I take them in and out so often.
Trust me, its not a bad way to do it. If you did not put it there you would not notice it.

Like quad said, don't worry about "Velcro" -- Don't use it if you don't want to, you don't need it. I like it, Easy to take out Commander to plug in laptop to do updates and snaps right back in. Love my Commander, would buy it again. Still waiting on turbo cooldown, unless it's already out and I missed it. Gta, you will love it.
I agree w/you gtaj4. Ordered mine over a week ago, I live in TX and have been sitting out front waiting for Mr. UPS and he just keeps driving by. After reading, I guess I need a tranny sensor for the temps on the commander? It's not really clear what is needed and what is supplied but I know it's almost a must to watch it when towing.

I've never used the velcro on my Commander, just squeeze it in, and the weight of the cable helps, have to really have problems before it came out.
I don't see why you couldn't install your pillar mount and put a string through it, then when you get the Commander tie the cable to the string and pull it through, you'd be up and running a little faster probably.

High Bid-The Commander comes with the sending unit for monitoring the transmission temperature. What you will need, is some type of adaptor to mount the sensor to your truck. If you go to Geno's you will see they sell several different types of adaptors that work well for your truck.
The Commander comes with the adapters for the tranny sensor, so there is nothing extra to purchase for the install. There are three fittings with the kit one of which is not used on the Dodge trucks.
I have the commander and fp kit. My fuel pressure worked one time for 20 minutes and that was it. keep forgeting to call and track the problem. And I was lucky enuff to get a bad one first time around. Oh well. I like everything about it now that its works, except for the FP. also whats the highest that everyones RP reads. Mine went to 25553 a couple of times but no further. Probably not good for the truck either.
