Quadzilla 140hp box on 04.5'

has anyone tried the 140 hp race version box on a 04.5' or 05' ?? Right now, I have a 100hp ts ramifier on my truck and I am just not very impressed with it. Have sent it back three times so far and it still doesn't seem to me like it runs right. Thinking about trying the quadzilla box. Looking for opinions.

thanks,

matt

I had the Quad XZillaraider Race box for 04.5 600. It is 130hp rated according to Quad on the 600s up I think. It worked fine with no codes or issues while I was running it. Power was smooth and consistant on all settings. I did hit 44psi boost and 1450* EGTs on higher settings with sustained WOT.

I am trying to decide between the XZ race box and the hot juice(which I didn't realize was even available). Is there a reason you switched????

I switched for higher HP goals. My sig shows where I am at now. The Hot Juice(180HP/440ftp) I could stack with a pressure box, the XZillaraider did not look like I could stack much with it. If 130hp is all you need, it is fine. I may wind up with TST PowerMaxCr in the long run, don't know yet.

At the time the Juice/Attitude combo included at least a real EGT gauge and other monitoring functions. The Quad box didn't. Now I think Quad has a monitoring/controller box that will work with the XZillaraider.

I was told about 2 weeks ago by a dealer that the hot juice was a month or so away, and that it would only do around 120hp.This was an internet dealer. Is the hot juice ok with out other major mods???180hp would be awesome, but I only plan on ram-air,muffler,and a box of some sort.Would it live through a 180hp blast at the track with just a muffler and a resonator delete??

Can you give me a little info on the hot juice ?? That sounds like a lot of horsepower and torque, sounds good to me. How does it develop the horsepower ? Timing, duration, pressure, ect. ??

The HOT Juice for the 04.5 600+ has been out for a while. The HOT Juice/Attitude Level 5 is 180HP don't remember the torque number right now.

Hot Juice/Attitude Level 1 40hp, Level 2 60hp, Level 3 80hp, Level 4 100hp & Level 5 180hp.

The Juice/Attitude for the 04.5 600+ produces power with timing and duration, no added fuel pressure. To get the low end help I have stacked an Edge EZ which is fuel pressure/boost fooling only. They stack very well together. The HOT Juice/Attitude on 180hp by itself is not much good. Too much duration and no air, just a lot of smoke and heat. I will get mine dyno'd with my current configuration this weekend so I know exactly where I am. Then I will be playing with the Bully Dog Crazy Larry program and see what I can do with it.

My truck is consistant 13.8s 1/4 with current mods. It may be a little quicker when the temp gets under 100*. I am now shooting to break into 12s with single turbo and diesel only. Dont know if I can make it without drugs.

The way it was explained to me was the juice hot or not without being stacked does not have much low end.

the quadzilla is supposed to have nice low end power but is not as "stackable" at pressent time.

To me this just sold me on the quadzilla because 130hp is more than I am comfortable running on my trans. I have not ordered yet but at present time that is what I am going to get next month.

I really want the power to come on sooner.

Yeah that helps my decision also.I want the hp WITH the torque.I think when I get some $$$ from this upcoming overtime I am getting the quadZ race box,air intake, and their answer to the Attitude monitor. They said the monitor would be available in 6-8 weeks.I'll put a muffler on and remove the resonator and go try on my bro's flowerstroke. Thanks for all the info.Quad is also kinda local to me,and their tech guy was awesome friendly on the phone.Maybe they can make me a package deal.

I have the Quad Race box on my 2004.5. I have the 6spd and my tranny will slip on the 130 HP mode. This box is mainly a pressure box with duration and timing thrown in. At the dyno, I laid down a 400.3 HP and 728.8 tq with just the Quad box and Scotty Air ram intake. If you are looking for just one box, and are happy with 130hp get the Quad. If you have higher horsepower goals, just skip it and go direct to the TST CR. But for a daily driver wanting a little more pep, the Quad box is a go. Also, my MPG increase 1 mpg with the box.

At the moment I am stock, but I am thinking about getting an EZ first, then getting the HOT Juice w/attitude. Will EZ add some low end power?

How do you guys like this stack? I don't plan on using the EZ on full blast, just maybe setting 1 or 2 (I understand there is 3, and this is all fuel pressure).

The way I see it, EZ on stage 1 or 2 now, then tranny upgrade and Hot Juice w/Attitude.

Thoughts?

Yes, well, I kinda want the edge so I can stack it later with another edge product.

BTW: I had a '94 Trans Am and used tunercat software to tune it, was the best vehicle mod I EVER did. I loved it. Look into that or LT1 edit.

I won't be stacking. Can't imagine wanting more than what the 130hp box, intake, and muffler will do.But I'll watch you guys do it.

Yeah I'm doing the LT-1 edit stuff and a couple other bolt-ons very soon. Some LT-1 guru's here are happy to help.
