Man guys Just wanted to let you know, anyone scared of a bad experience installing gauges or something like the recon, fear not. I installed my recon XZT in just under an hour. Thats from the moment I poped the hood untill I set the year-model on the recon. That even includes tapping the manifold for the pyro. This was my first install.
Everything works, but I was missing the wire tap and the fuse tap, but thats no big deal...

What scares me is I can get my truck to 1450 egt before I hit 70 MPH, the probe is located per quad's instructions. Its crazy how fast the egt rises and falls.

What kind of boost can I expet out of my truck, The highest I hit was 41 PSI. I'm disapointed how little boost I run at low rpm, crusing at 60 I was running only 3 or 4 PSI.

if you were running much higher at cruise you start compromising milage however it can get sluggish lugging your engine in lower gears. i typically try to stay under 10 psi for good milage and 7 psi on the highway.

With the quad XZT i was able to hit 42 psi but havent seen a number anywehre neaar there in a while thanks to smarty, however it was pulling harder than a train in a noose.


not to highjack but i too want to know what kind of boost i can expext out of my truck with powerpuck/smarty jr. stack and soon will have a Holley Black fuel pump going through a big line kit.
