Quad Intake Dyno Test

Quad,

Been a while but here's a link to the thread in question:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...5&pagenumber=1

You had made the comment that the truck you dynoed and got 35 HP from the intake alone had some mods on it, let me know what "MODS" you want the truck to have so we can be as accurate as possible on the dyno this weekend. We have a 2004 Dodge lined up for the test.

Mark,

You are getting a 6L intake to dyno test this weekend.

If you would have called, emailed or anything else I could have sent the Dodge intake as well, but you didn't.

The mods on the truck we got 35hp out of were:

Injectors, fueling box, and bigger turbo, not sure which one exactly that was like 3-3.5 years ago.

Can't we just have one done on a stock 04 or 05 and see what kind of #'s we come up with? I'm interested in the Quad intake, but I'm concerned with what it does for my stock 610.

qzilla,

Those are fine dyno sheets, could I bother you to send one of those kits to the Nashville dyno runs days that are going to be in 09-05? I will install it, run it on a 2003/04 Dodge, pay for the dyno time myself, and post the results here to help verify your numbers. That way all the members here can see two different independent tests on the same product, should quell any un believers etc. If you need me to pay for it I will and then when it's returned you can give me credit. Or if a member here wants it I'll ship it to them on my UPS account so you don't have to worry about freight costs. Let me know if that's agreeable to you and we'll get it all set up etc.

He won't call me or answer my call.

Christian,

All of my products have a 30day satisfaction guarantee. If someone bought a product and thought they were shortchanged they could return it.

Why would I make a bogus claim when I know it will be scrutinized and tested. If I say it makes 10hp you can believe it makes 10hp.

So here is my answer for Mark.

I will gladly send you one for testing. My question is what are you testing it with? What claims are you testing to match? Stock truck, modified truck?

As long as we know what you are looking for we will gladly send an airbox to you.

And I posted this yesterday to make sure we tested it as you wanted it tested:

You had made the comment that the truck you dynoed and got 35 HP from the intake alone had some mods on it, let me know what "MODS" you want the truck to have so we can be as accurate as possible on the dyno this weekend. We have a 2004 Dodge lined up for the test.

If you want you can send it next day air Saturday delivery to :

The Performance Garage
Attn: Mark Craig/ Chris Berkey
531 Huntley Industrial Drive
Smyrna, TN 37167
615-250-3966

This is the dyno location, I have a 2004 Dodge that will be there to do the test, we will need to know if you are sending it or not ASAP as the owner will have to un mod or mod his truck today to meet your criteria etc. Let us know what you plan to do, we are ready to make the runs and pay for the dyno time etc. I don't think he has injectors or a bigger turbo, but that is probably good as most truck owners won't have those mods anyway, so this will show what the intake really does HP wise for 99% of the truck owner population out there that might be interested in it. We can run a van Aaken, Edge EZ or Juice, or Bully Dog fueling box, what is your preference? He does have 4 inch exhaust, gauges and the fueling box that you choose from the ones that I listed.

Dirteater,

That's what we plan to do if Quad sends the air box.

On edit:

We'll do it with a modded truck and then a stock truck that only has exhaust at the same time. All it will require is a removal of whatever fueling box Quad tells us he wants us to use.

Secondly, Ralph never mentioned anything about testing stuff other than a 6L to me. HE said he was stretched for time as it was and that they are only using 1 truck now because of it.

I'll ship an intake just so you have to shut your hole.

Guys, I hate to do this, but this is enough. Please take it offline, like on the telephone or something. This one is done.
