Quad-

No hard feelings and I appreciate you clearing things up. It just goes to show you that members can automatically peg you for acting like the south end of a north bound horse by what's posted on here and without knowing all the circumstances.

I also apologize for airing some dirty laundry. We both know the history behind my situation and although my comments may or may not have been warranted, I vented out loud. Shame on me. There's a reason I've hung around this long and been civil, and it's been because I know Quad and staff go out of their way to lend a helping hand.

Kudos to the Quad crew.

I assume you already have my mailing info, if not, just let me know.

Quad = A+ Excellent customer service...

J- I have seen the black spot on my commander too but it comes and goes it's in the upper left hand corner. No biggie. Been working with quad to find out why the boost of off but that's no problemo. It's acutally a good investment in my opinion because of the rail pressure!!! I am out of spots to put guages

Send me a pm and I will take care of it personally. I will pull Commanders out of 2 of my personal trucks and send them to you.

I would say that the reliability is very, very good on the Commanders and out of the thousands we sell each month they are basically trouble free. We did have a manufacturing issue last month and we caught it ver fast but it did not cause any real heartburn or any functionality issues.

So pm me and I will get some guaranteed working ones to your door.
I want to clear something up your CSRs are great. But when it comes down to your unit (Commander) its a different story. What are the chances of getting 2 that are junk??? Anyways you are sending 1 out. We will see.

I also have a question regarding fuel pressure kit installation. I purchased the FP kit when I first bought the commander, then I read several posts )n here and the TDR) that said that there were clearance issues when installing it on trucks that had the Jake Brake. Since that time, I havent gotten around to installing it. Can you confirm if there is a clearance issue with the Jake Brake system? If so, do you have a list of needed parts to be able to install it on trucks with the Jake Brake?
Thanks

Just move the sensor to the outlet at the fuel filter.

Any potential accuracy issues with that location?

I don't think so, but I can't be certain. Theoretically, since its a pressurized system there shouldn't be, but it is a dynamic system.

I asked Quad this morning if the sender is a problem with the Jacobs (I'll be getting one next month). Jeremy said he wasn't aware of any issues between the sending unit being mounted on the CP3 and the E-Brake? Anybody have a picture of the sender on the FF outlet, and is that going to cause me problems later when I run the plumbing for the FASS?

CTDinMT,

I can confirm that there is no way to mount the Quad supplied fuel pressure sensor on the CP3 with a Jacobs vaccum pump mounted in the standard (only) location. You will have to mount the fuel pressure sensor on the other end of the CP3 inlet line. This is on the botton of the fuel filter housing. The sensor will mount using the bolt and washers shipped with the Quad kit, upside down (wire terminal facing down).

As to accuracy, there should be little difference between one end of a 3/8 ID 3 foot long tube and the other. Also, the bottom mounting position is much better than mounting it on the filter cap, because the bottom port is on the outlet of the filter and thus reads the pressure after any loss through a clogged filter, which gives you more warning that the filter needs to be changed.

Ok, thanks very much for the info. Quadzilla is sending me a new sender as we speak (their customer service is "TOPS"), and I'll get it mounted on the bottom of the FF canister. Anybody know what the part #'s are for the bolt and washer for the CP3 (I can't remember what I did with them when I installed the Commander sender last time).

Hello All,
Hope this isn't construed as a hijacking, but can you tell me when the back ordered Commanders will ship? I have only been waiting for two weeks but am getting anxious to put gauges in my truck while running the XZT.

Thanks in advance,

I ordered one yesterday and was told they were on backorder. Larry (Top) said he had been told that they would start shipping today. I hope so, I can't wait. . .
