Pyrometer Installation

I have the BD Outlook Monitor installed in my truck but I haven't added the pyrometer yet because I'm not sure where to put the sending unit. I want to put it pre-turbo. Where did y'all drill and tap the manifold? How did you deal with the shavings? Did you actually remove the manifold or did you do it while it was on the truck? If anybody has pictures showing the mounting location that would be really helpful. Thanks guys

You can see where I put mine in my pics. I just drilled the manifold, most of the shavings stay out of the manifold, then started the truck and idled it for a minute. Have done 4 trucks this way with no problems.

I drilled with a greased bit till it looked like it was getting overloaded with metal shavings then wiped it down and continued the cycle until the hole was bored....do the same with the tap. Also I used a magnet down in the hole just to make sure that I got as much of the shavings out as possible.

Thanks for the replys and the pictures. I did it this afternoon and put it in the same place y'all have it. I used a small magnetic pick up tool and a magnetic tipped screwdriver to get all of the shavings out.
