Do you hook it up before the turbo on the exhaust manifold? Or after the turbo? If both work, which is a better way to go? What are the pros/cons to each?
Also, where is a good place to get good deals on gauges? Probably going to go with ISSPRO unless y'all think others are better.
Thanks

install before the turbo, its much more accurate and easy to read, it could be installed after the turbo and is eaiser to do, but it has been known to read up to 300* cooler than manifold temps and could potentionally cause a melt down, ebay has great prices, and i prefer auto meter myself but nothin wrong with isspro

Yes pre turbo is the best. My probe is between cyl 4 and 5. This picks up the temp from number 6 which is typically the hottest one.
I am also running the Autometer factory match gauges. They look awesome and about as close to factory as I have seen!

Isspro for me! Tried Autometer for 3 months (2 probes and 2 gauges later), then gave up and bought the Isspro. It works perfectly. The Autometer Factory Match, didn't match my factory gauges either. The numbers on the factory gauges are solid. The Autometer gauge were outline type. I needed a pyrometer that works all of the time, not part time.
Do you have a pic posted anywhere of where you drilled? I like the idea of a probe, but I'm a wuss and don't want to risk metal in the turbo.
