No, you will not have the 1/4 tank problem with the ad100 using the stock pickup and airdog supplied fitting. The 1/4 tank problems stems from not cutting the draw straw correct during installation.

I left all the lines and canister in place on mine, but have no plans in reconnecting even if needed.

So far I am very happy with mine. The kit is very easy to install. Just use a small heat gun to warm the rubber lines to make them easier to slide on to the fittings. Glacier Diesel has on their website the instructions to install the airdog. Since you have the fuel pump on the canister, you will need the 03-04 kit.
