Proud to report back on Smarty

Well I can honestly say that Smarty is all that has been claimed.

I run the same 240mile round trip a couple times a week in the dodge and the fuel mileage has seriously changed I went from 13.5mpg to ALMOST 19mpg THIS IS hand calculated to by the way. Stock the truck never really got that good of fuel mileage and has been on 35" tires since about 2500miles new. I have put about 7000miles on this same ol' trip so the data is pretty dead on. And thats JUST about all I drive the dodge for. Everything else I just use my other truck.

BUT the catch to it is I run it in level 9 I just dont really fool around. I know the limits of the tranny.....and can feel them LOL.

ANOTHER NOTE:

The timing rattle WAS terrible in level nine. But just tonight I loaded the latest and greatest in...only usuing aftermarket injectors file and the truck runs and sounds like a sewing machine.......absolutely beautiful!!!!. Sounds GREAT. Will report back on what happens to fuel mileage with this specific file in(still level nine).

To the makers of SMARTY....Great product and thanks!

Cool info. I am curious, running an after-market injectors tune on a stock injector vehicle makes the engine quieter? Why, and is there any other side effects of running that tune on stock injectors?

Thanx.

I was getting 19.8 on the old Smarty on a regular basis. On the latest update, x11, I have a DROP of 2 mpg on the last 2 fillups. No hot rodding-just easy driving trying for good mileage. The new SW has lower EGT's, smoother shifting, runs quieter and smooth acceleration. The bummer is the mileage. I can see the mileage falling rapidly on the overhead as I accelerate. I never saw that before.

Less timing advancement = less noise. No damage can be done w/ AI tune on the stockers.

I figured in the mileage with the oversized factor before. yes i did adjust tire size after but the fill ups at the station dont lie(sort of LOL) on the same EXACT trip over and over again. I was honestly getting 13.5 before and now it 18.7ish.

I will say this though after testing around tonight....the new files with the AI--has a noticable power loss from the stock injector file......as expected though. it also will no longer break the tires loose and get sideways at 30mph now like it would in the old stock SW9 file.

I am probably going to load the stock file back in and see what happens, the report says that timing was altered on the files so I will find out......I hope I dont loose any fuel mileage. from what i have.

BUT the AI file did make the truck sound absolutely beautifully crisp and sound

These driving conditions are roughly but exactly half at 75mph and the other half at 60-65mph,,,mostly 65 though. Non stop and very very little idle when at destination.

good to hear. I as well have the smarty but I have yet to see the kinds of mileage gains you have experienced. But then again I am not running on level 9. I run on level 3
