Programmer module question

I know this is a endless subject thats asked all the time.
But, these are all new to me and don't know some of the brands by the names used.
Can someone give some pros/cons between the 2 types, and the company names and models?
Pushing my luck here, but how about some of the differences between brands? I just read something about the edge don't adjust fuel pressure but some other brand did.
Would be nice if someone could make a sticky of some sort that answers some of these questions, might keep the question from popping up so much.

When I was shopping the two choices it came down to for me was the Edge Juice and the TST.
Edge Juice: Nice smooth adjustable power up to 100 HP with the Attitude. Another cool thing with the Attitude is that you can put limits on EGT's and trans slippage and it will automatically defuel.
TST: Not as smooth but has much more potential if you eventually upgrade the turbo, fuel system, etc.

The Edge Hot Juice and Edge EZ will raise rail pressure, but the standard Juice does not. I don't know if the TST raises pressure.

The other performance option is the Smarty. I have heard a lot of good things about it but I went with the Edge because it is adjustable on the fly. The Smarty is a downloader so it takes a few minutes to change programs.

There are more but these are the ones I have some experience with.

I have a Edge W/ Attitude, and love it.. It is perfect for me as I do not need that much power like upgraded turbo's and such, but it will definitely make enough power to kill some of the weak links in your truck if you get carried away with it..

BTW Bennett: I did not think the Juice W/ Attitude added pressure.. I thought it was duration and timing..

You are correct. The Hot Juice increases pressure, the standard Juice does not. I added punctuation to my post so that it is more clear.

Maybe there should be a sticky with all of the boxes, downloaders, etc. listed so that there is one place for reference.

Hot Juice does not add pressure on 04.5+ trucks...atleast thats my understanding from Edge.

Yes had an A2. Had problems with it freezing up and not working for days at a time. Edge bought it back cause they knew they didn't have a way to fix it at the time. That was almost a year ago now so surely they have it figured it. when it worked, it was a very neat toy to have!
