I am looking for a chip or programer for my 05' 610cd w/ 6-speed that provides reliable,smooth power. I only want to run on tow settings and i've already tried quads xzt and triple dog. I liked quads box but was tired of the codes and the bdtd power didnt seem to smooth. I search other posts haven't found much info on people running strictly tow modes so any suggestions or info would great.

 

I have try most of them like quad, triple dog, edge ez, edge juice w/attiude, dr performance stage 3, and tst w/r49 remote. The best one I have so far is the tst and I have notice a little better fuel mileage with it too. But the edge juice w/attiude is nice too.

 

Looking at the dyno reports for the Diablo Puck - it seems to be right in the towing rps's/hp torque ranges like the TST.

the lower settings on the smarty would be perfect if you are looking for very smooth power.

 

Look at a superchip prog. I've been running mine for a long time and have had no issues at all. Excellent power and increase in fuel mileage. You can also adjust speedo for tire size. It does take 10 minutes or so to change settings but if you just want it on tow mode and leave that won't be an issue for you.
Some people have had problems with customer service from superchip, but for the money you cant beat it.You can find them on ebay for $300-$350

Bullydog triple dog here. Never any problems and great power. No real gains in mileage though but alot of that is my lead foot. Probably the cause of my tires only last a year too. HMMMM. But its fun
