Note that I had mentioned something about the top 3. But to avoid any further confusion I modified my statement.....

Apperantly they have NEVER been in a truck with the "scary larry" software from HTS. There is NOTHING harder on a a tranny than that. I've ran both the Smarty and the Bully Dog.

I would give a stock tranny 5 minutes before the tranny is COMPLETELY trashed with the scary larry...At least with the way I drive

I would put money on the 5 minutes... Even Modified trannies aren't holding it for very long.

Just Yokin with you and '97. Seriously, SMARTY would be a recommendation for a truck that was equipped to run it. From what I saw the members are taking that into consideration when making their recommendations.

Get a SMARTY, they don't throw codes like some of the other downloaders on the market(I'm not going to list the names because I don't want someone to go postal like he did about a post from a member in this thread)

Just because a member has over 1000 posts in less then a year doesn't make him or her an EXPERT, it just means they have too much time on there hands LOL

This is just my 2 cents and I'm for sure no expert!!!! But I do run the parts I talk about.

Luken- I'm not talking about you and I'm working on getting you a ECM

Look, another vote for a SMARTY. I would bet he hasn't had any thrown codes with it either

I have no experience with any programmer other than SMARTY, but I LOVE it. THat, along with my TST, it's like a non-turbo'd truck the way it drives. It pulls like a BEAST!!!
