Problems since I lifted my Dodge

With a lift you are putting greating stress on that lower bearing from a harder angle on and the drop in the pitman arm. Check the fluid level in the power steering. May not be the problem but it never hurts.
I appreciate the info. Yeah, the first thing I checked was the fluid level. Think there is any hope in the dealer still fixing the problem with the mods I have done with the suspension? Thanx again Capt......Jamie
I think there going to fight it but depending on your dealer you might be able to convince them that the lift has nothing to do with a bad steering box. Also that you had it "professionally" installed (sounds like you had someone do it) might help. I know at ours if we put up a big enough fight they coverd some stuff. Best thing is just go in acting like the truck has no mods on it at all and see what they say first. then start thretining to never buy another car there again and all that lol let us know how it goes

From a Dealers few point(at least one that use to hang on my head)was ONCE fixed under warranty you leave yourself open to warranty such a repair or MORE front end issues as well as other lilablitys etc.with it being lifted items under more stress.Even as a CUSTOMER PAY JOB it would be DISCUSSED up front that the repair HAD NO warranty from the get go.Customer paid to have it lifted, you play you pay.Put yourself in a repair shops point of view.I can tell you from past experiance that LOTS of repairs on MODDED vehicles end up being money losers on the shops end.Its just the facts.Dosen't take loosing your butt on certain repairs, vehicles, customer types but a few times to learn NOT to do it again.

Yeah, but I really don't think that having a 6 inch lift on for a little over a week and plus only driving it a total of maybe 10 miles to work and back would have such a dramatic effect on the steering box. Aparently it was on its last leg as it is. But yeah, I see your point, If I were the dealer, I'd be skeptical as well. OH, BTW, I found the squeak....dang rear bushings on the shocks...so I put some extra sticky motorcycle chain lube on em...whammo! NO MORE SQUEAK!
