Predator vs Smarty

Im just wondering if anyone has run both DLs and if so is the smarty really worth double the money? Ive read that the predators give great bottom end. Im just looking for something to add to my mix to see how it works out but if i you guys think I will get similar gains from a predator i think i will try that first.

PS clutch and turbo will be added first.

Thanks Joel

i havent tried a smarty for this truck{had one on my 01}for the 03-04s the pred is a wicked tuner for the money.the pred for the 06-07sis having some issues.depends on what u are planning on doing with the truck, unless your racing and want to smoke out the neighborhood the pred should be fine, theres some here in the classifieds for a good deal, the custom tunes on thier site are great too,and theres some for stacking with other boxxes too. for a couple of hundred bucks you cant go wrong.

I have no experieince with the predator, so can only speak for the Smarty. For the 03-04 crowd, the smarty low end is great. You can really smoke it out. That just shows how much fuel it can dump at the low end. You already have a TST and MP-8. I think the TST is an awesome stack with the smarty... they complement each other very well. The MP-8 is just behind that a little bit but still another good stack. (my opinion only) The thing though that may make it apple to orange comparison... because extra money involved... does the predator offer all the extras smarty does in relation to the vast number of different downloads available to customize your application? Does predator check and clear codes? Adjust speedo for tire size? Just a couple of things to keep in mind when considering.

I heard recently "Junior" will be a three-setting Smarty - Economy, Towing, Performance.

Oldsmokey your running an 03? neither tuner will adjust for speedo or tires, but both will do codes and have unlimited programs if you chose a custom one from the tuners, but bang for the buck would be Predator/Puck stack but you already have a Mp8 so you would be good with out the Puck, my money went on the Predator/Puck and they work the best on my truck.

Smarty does enable you to adjust for tire size up to 42 inches or more. Mine is adjusted for 285s (32.7 inches)

No stacking two programmers. It's one or the other.

There's a decent price reduction for the "Junior" as well. PM Bob for pricing.

I dont care about the speedo thing, mine has already been reset, i just dont want to spend that money on a smarty if i could get near the same results for half the price with a predator, or maybe not the junior?
