Predator vs. Edge questions?
Hi, newbie here wondering what the differences are between the Predator style downloaders and the Edge EZ modules are. I'm looking for safe small upgrades to power and mileage. Any thoughts?

hey man welcome well there are a lot of threads regarding your question use the search feature but real quick the predator is a downloader that actually changes parameters in your ecm where the ez is a stand alone module the ez is a pressure box and the juice is a timing and duration box they are both piggy back modules there are guys who use these stand alones as well as programmers and have great success but if you only want a little boost and not spend a lot go for a pressure box like the ez or qzilla its up to you good luck

As stated,
The Predator is an actual programmer. You plug it in under the dash, load a program into your truck's computer & then unplug it. Your done.
The Edge Ez is a module that you plug in under the hood & it stays plugged in.
The Predator has 4 settings (stock, tow, performance & extreme). It makes power by changing the timing & duration on the lower levels & adds pressure on the upper level.
The Ez adds pressure & can be hard on the injectors......

Supposedly it stands for "Road Kill Larry" or "Really Kool Larry"; I guess they are trying to make fun of the Crazy Larry program for the Triple Dogs.... Lol
For some reason, I am guessing that this is not the real meaning behind RKL; it's probably an inside joke amongst the Diablo programmers.
