predator power?

Happy holidays everyone. I was reading the January 05 issue of Trailer Life mag, and I saw an ad for predator power. They make a statement that the program is undetectable by the factory ecm and will not void engine warranty. So, say I installed this, and my wonderful and helpful local dealer finds it, I guess that predator will settle any warranty disputes?! Dont think so.

Has anyone dealt with something like this? What were the results.

I would love to hear some dyno/EGT numbers for the stage 1 Predator. Most posts about the predator chip are only about the stage 2 and 3 chips. An extra 100 ft/lbs without EGT/reliability issues would be great.

I spoke with the tech at my dealership and he told me that they do not have anything at the dealership that could detect if a box has been on the truck, I had the stage 2 for about 30 min before I sent it back because my truck wouldn't even start with it on there.

I dont have a scanner otherwise I would place the ad here for your viewing disbelief. Their web page does state " Undetectable by the vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit" the ad in the Han 05 trailer life on page 57 states " will not void your warranty" Pretty cut and dry, they make the claim. But I bet they would not stand behind it if push comes to shove.

I wouldn't bet my warranty on that statement and I own one of their boxes!

Truck runs so nice, haven't had a real cause to take it in! And when I do, the box slips off real easy

Good the new summit mag today, shows the power puck with the same wont void warranty claim.!!! Hmmmm. These companies are sticking their necks out alittle. However, I do believe that if I add something to my rig that will possibly damage a component not designed for that abuse, then it is my own fault, and I should pay for it myself. but on the sarcastic side of things, I wouldnt want to cheat DC out of their money, after all they were thoughful enough to put tape under my cab and give me the option of buying the plugs that should be there in the first place. but that is another thread.

Yah I'm pretty sure if DC would send you to them, laughing as you walk away. That sure is a misleading way to try to sell their products I have access to their products through one of my distributor's but I would never personally state that to vouch for their product that's crazy

Can be "self installed" in only minutes.

So does that mean I can have one shipped to my house and open the box. Sit down on the couch and it will jump out of the box and install itself into my truck? That's some awesome technoligy let me tell you. I wonder what the command is to have it uninstall itself???
