I welded fittings on the steel pre charge air cooler for the NO2 fogger nozzle, "hot side" dyno-boost gauge and post-impeller digital pyrometer; then I sprayed it with SS powder paint:



This will be a great tuning tool!

You can also see detail of the relocated AC condenser and how the rubber air baffle was deleted.

Silly question.... Why do you need nitrous on a service truck?

Do you worry about the NOS bottle getting stolen?
can you lock it down with something?

 

Trust me - once you've got 3 decades of fabrication under your belt, you'll probably be doing even cooler stuff!

I would, but we trade them in every time for full ones... the nitrogen bottle is aluminum, but they transfill that for us.

Seriously, though - I figured it makes sense to drag race and sled pull with a service truck, so that when the Smarty, Quad Race, Helix 2, F3 sticks, H2O/Meth and NO2 are all running at once, if the expensive smoke escapes from inside the engine, I'll have all the tools and parts ready that I need to put it (the expensive smoke) back inside the Cummins ASAP, since I'll need the truck to get back home.
