the power pup will put a LOT of smoke out your exhaust. i personally think its sweet to see all the smoke so i got the pup. on performance mode at 8500ft above sea level im doing around 6.85 0-60, and i still have another setting to go

The only way I can get smoke from my truck is on the extreme setting. Never have had smoke on the lower settings. You think it's because of the different years of the trucks?

My reasoning would be
1. StrokeThisCTD lists the Crazy Larry version.
2. The addition of pressure (Ramifier) will take away some smoke.

If I load the BDDL on just Performance, manually lock the converter at say 30mph, then pedal to the floor, I can close down a 2 lane highway. Do the same with the TST turned on and I can close 4 lanes in about 2 seconds. Its cool.

I would have thought the Ramifier would have aided in smoke making fun. It has pretty decent low end I thought. Maybe ditch the Ramifier and stack with something with a little more low end. Maybe a VA C3.2. There is one going for crazy cheap on e-bay right now.

Brian,

I'll try what you have posted above. I have to admit I don't run around alot w/ the RAMifier turned up very much. It's mainly used in those "special" situations.

But I think Cory has a point about the pressure.

Manual lock-up switch.

There are several out there, including some instructions floating around on the net to hook up your own using Radio Shack parts. I use the BD TorqLoc. It has some nice features other than just manual lock-up for half the price of other tranny controllers. It is great for making smoke and running locked at the drag strip. Not much good for anything else.
