Im running it on 90hp setting. On occasions when i punch it my egts get around 1400+ how can i get them down without buying new air box or full exhaust. I have prices on duals already might make a call soon if that is the only way to go. just hate to get the sound of the MRBP muffler at idle. But might not be like my 6.0L cuz i would keep this kitty on. thanks ahead of time for ur responses

 

I've been trying the get the EGTs down on my truck since it was stock. First I removed the muffler, but saw little or no reduction. I did a bunch of the freebie air mods and saw no reduction. The most I have been able to get is about 50-100 degrees with a AFE torque tube and a AFE proguard 7 drop in filter with the airbox drilled in the bottom. I have also seen that the temp will come down a lot quicker when running.

 

On the Extreme setting, racing from 0-110MPH with a 4hi launch at 20psi, egts are at 1,400 by 110, pre-turbo.

 

if you dont want to get that loud sound, why don't you just go with a 51" nelson or donaldson? straight through design, will let EGT's down just as good as MBRP, cost lots less, and lots quieter than MBRP or other exhausts...

 

Where would you purchase this at some sites. Mine isnt on Extreme its on performance i think i just got a hot truck
