Power lost -connected to smarty

The other day I started a thread on low boost and power lost, we thought I had a leak some where in the system, returned the truck back to stock and it runs great. When we plugged the smarty in to retrn to stk sw-7 appeared.

Not sure why my computer or truck went into a limp mode and change the power out put on this level,Yes when we re load Sw-7 back up the truck goes into limp mode again. the smarty setting has been on the truck for over 3-months on the same setting, what your thought here \??

What codes do you have? If its going into limp mode there is a fault somewhere. My guess would be overboost but that is a vague assumption based on past experiences. The only way to know 100% is to pull the code and report back here.

No codes at all, EGT's were fine truck was smooth just a signficant power lost. Somthing happend nwitht the program that was loaded into the truck, which had been on the truck for months with noadjustments.

Is that the only level? Have you tried sw5 again or sw9?

yes, sw-5 no problems, truck appears to accept the setting.just curious if the truck computer is rejecting or whatever is happening.I sent the truck to IMLER diesel in Sac CA. to check it out for me. work is consuming my time.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem ??

Weird. I know I had a Bully that did not like to adjust power levels. I have never heard of a Smarty doing that. I thought by derating you meant it would cut power when driving down the road, not accepting the Smarty program.

I would reload the current software on the Smarty and then reload sw 7 into the truck. See what that does.
