Those are some -very- impressive dyno numbers. Makes me wonder what this heap of mine may actualy produce. I see the '04.5 and up trucks are on average posting some really impressive numbers.
My overhead never reads below 18 and change. This is all city, but mostly 40-50 mph and a good number of lights. Right now, the computer shows 18.9. My hand calculations will produce something around 1 mpg. less. After owning three of these in all generations, I must say I am most pleased with this one overall.
If you want traffic, just come down here to Fort Myers, FL, during spring break with all the blue hair folks as well. This will surely test your patience.

I have an '06 2500 2wd 6 spd, and it's currently showing 22.5 mpg on the overhead, all city driving. It's usually pretty close to reality, within less than 1 mpg off. It's also generally a little low compared to hand calculated. I drive VERY attentively for fuel mileage. I let off way before red lights, I shift at about 1250 rpm, and I let it coast in neutral. I'll also shut it off if I'm gonna have to sit for more than a few seconds at a traffic light. I can't complain one bit about the mileage in the city. On the highway, the mileage decreases some at regular interstate speeds because of the gearing and wind drag.
i get about 24mpg all highway,around 70mph.
i get 21-22 mixed
about 19 city, and i get about 14 towing about 8000lbs with a 24" inclosed trailer.
i don't baby my truck, but i don't kill it either. i like to put my foot into it most of the time. my over head is all over the place, and is for the most part pretty close when reset.
i just did 600kms tonight, and filled up before i left, and i have half a tank left, and was doing 130kms on the highway, and was pretty hard on it most of the time.still getting a feel for this new turbo.

I get around 15-16 city and 17.5-19 highway depending on fast I go. I'll get about 19 if I keep it between 65-70. If I go 70-75, it'll drop down to 18. This is all hand calculated. Display reads a bit higher.

Fuel mileage on my 05, 16 city, 19-20 highway, hand calculated.
Really depends on how you drive it. I have found with my 04.5 if I am on the highway and keep it around 65-70 mph boost 6-8 psi and egt's 550-600* I can get 22-23 mpg. City driving drops down around 17 and pulling our 11k fver with 4 4-wheelers behind it on an open trailer fuel mileage drops to around 13.
Best highway I have gotten is 20.9 hand cal. and average of 18-19 @ 65-70mph. Average city is 12-13 hand cal. I just rolled over 20,000 miles. I would love to get 15-16 in town and a easy 20+ on the highway.
I drove to western Oklahoma last weekend and on the way out bucked a strong southwest wind and filled up in Enid and got 16.2. I drove on to Fort Supply and back to Pawhuska that night with no tail wind and got 17.6 all hand calculated. My truck is brand new and only had 1,000 miles when I left home. 2006 3500 4x4 quad cab lwb 6spd 3.73 gears.

I get about 14.6 in town and about 19 on the road with 5000 miles. It is getting better all the time and have not been on the highway for a while. I got better milage and better performance after my first oil change because the dealer installed some computer updates.
